Requirements
Must:
- 2–5 years of experience in an MSP, MSSP, cybersecurity analyst, compliance analyst, or IT security position
- Solid grasp of Microsoft 365 and Azure security controls
- Knowledge of endpoint protection and EDR
- Understanding of network and firewall principles
- Familiarity with NIST, CMMC, or HIPAA is highly desirable
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Capacity to manage multiple client environments and priorities
Responsibilities
- Oversee and operate security platforms including EDR/XDR, SIEM, MFA, Email Security, and IDS/IPS
- Review alerts, correlate events, and escalate as well as remediate security incidents
- Aid in vulnerability scanning, generate reports, and track remediation efforts
- Support best practices for firewall, network, and endpoint security
- Assist in compliance assessments against frameworks such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, and HIPAA Security Rule
- Help document policies, standards, procedures, system security plans, and plans of action and milestones
- Gather evidence and support clients during readiness assessments or audits
- Maintain repositories for compliance documentation
- Participate in client security meetings and discussions
- Prepare security health reports, dashboards, and risk summaries
- Educate users on cybersecurity awareness and compliance requirements
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers and virtual Chief Information Security Officer resources
- Assist with incident triage, documentation, and coordination
- Support post-incident analysis and reporting
Description
We are seeking a Security & Compliance Analyst to support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of cybersecurity and compliance initiatives across various client environments. Our role is crucial in maintaining secure networks, enforcing security policies, monitoring risks, and assisting clients in aligning with frameworks such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, HIPAA, and NIST CSF under the guidance of senior security leadership. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for professionals with a robust security background who are eager to delve deeper into compliance and governance risk management.
