Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Over 5 years of software development experience, especially in Java and SQL within an enterprise setting
- Proficiency in Java and SQL for enterprise-level software engineering
- Experience with Oracle databases and crafting SQL queries
- Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic for application management and deployment
- Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems, including JBOSS, ECP, and RHEL 8
- Experience with development tools such as TOAD, Secure CRT/Secure FX, Rational Team Concert (RTC), Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), Eclipse, and Visio
- Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Adaptability to changes in a fast-paced work environment with fluctuating priorities
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications utilizing Java and SQL
- Analyze and review detailed software specifications provided by the Government
- Design, revise, and document code modifications for application upgrades
- Conduct peer code reviews and ensure compliance with coding best practices
- Create SQL queries and stored procedures for Oracle databases
- Manage and enhance application performance using Oracle WebLogic
- Employ development tools like TOAD, Secure CRT/Secure FX, Rational Team Concert (RTC), Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), Eclipse, and Visio
- Execute testing, debugging, and performance optimization of applications
- Ensure that software updates are free of defects prior to production deployment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement technical solutions
- Produce technical documentation, including code revisions, testing plans, and peer review findings
