Requirements

Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or possess equivalent experience. - I have over 8 years of software engineering experience with comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices and processes. - I possess proven engineering leadership experience with a pragmatic approach to decision-making and team management. - I have a strong technical foundation, capable of collaborating with architects to design optimal solutions within project constraints. - My interpersonal and communication skills are excellent, enabling me to effectively lead teams and promote collaboration to deliver viable solutions. - I have experience managing multiple projects and leading workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements and project scope, as well as proficiency in project tracking tools such as Confluence and Jira. - I demonstrate strong analytical abilities and a logical, pragmatic approach to problem-solving, helping my team find cost-effective solutions. - As a self-starter with exceptional technical writing skills, I can influence both technical and non-technical decisions while accurately estimating and contributing to project technical plans.

Responsibilities

- I will serve as the main technical leader for the engineering aspects of our bids and presales, ensuring solution feasibility concerning architecture and technology maturity according to contractual demands. - I will participate in developing the Work Breakdown Structure to identify work packages and organize engineering activities. - I will approve the main engineering reviews and deliverables for bids and projects. - I will support customer demos and workshops through presentations and technical discussions. - I will prepare Design Validation (DVa) documents that describe the overall solution architecture, technology choices, customer needs, regulations, standards, and identify engineering risks with defined mitigation plans. - I will translate customer needs into functional solution specifications and create the solution level requirements and interface documents. - I will own the overall solution architecture and design, making technical choices to meet required security, performance, environmental constraints, costs, and timelines in collaboration with architects and Work Package Managers. - I will lead the customer workshops, ensuring clarity in understanding customer needs and articulating them into concise solution specifications. - I will manage technical meetings and peer reviews with PMs, the Head of Engineering, and other stakeholders to assess and validate technical choices. - I will track the progress of engineering work packages, ensuring accountability for project engineering delivery. - I will identify and monitor technical risks and their corresponding action plans, and regularly report project status for the engineering scope to the PM and the Engineering Operation Manager.

- I am looking for a Technical Project Lead/Project Design Authority (PDA) within Identity and Biometric Solutions (IBS) in Austin, Texas. In this role, I will be the main technical leader on our projects, guiding teams of engineers and technical staff in implementing and deploying advanced Identity and Biometric solutions. I will be accountable for projects of significant complexity and importance to our company, responsible for designing and delivering customized solutions that meet high-quality and security standards. I will also support the Project Manager with project-level scheduling and reporting while working across various functional groups to achieve project objectives. - This position requires U.S. or Dual Citizenship and the ability to obtain clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. (CFIUS) and the Department of Treasury.
