Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems (MIS), IT, or a related field, along with one (1) year of relevant full-time paid experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling five (5) years.
- Recognized certification in the PC Support field (CompTIA A is preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in network domain environments.
- Ability to lift weights ranging from 10 to 50 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues, HSC staff, and students.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check after a conditional job offer has been made, prior to employment confirmation.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students in issues related to basic hardware and software maintenance.
- Specialize in the hardware and software pertinent to our department or unit.
- Exhibit non-technical skills such as a customer service mindset, a collaborative working style, team orientation, and robust communication abilities (written, technical writing, verbal, and listening).
- Self-motivate and maintain positive working relationships within the team and the broader HSC community.
