Responsibilities

- Spearhead the development of internal tools from start to finish, partnering with the CIO and Director of Tech & Innovation on system architecture and vision. - Create essential workflows that facilitate operational and accounting functions, such as: - Data ingestion (via files and APIs), normalization, and validation. - Rules-based automation and AI-enhanced categorization/extraction where applicable. - Review and approval workflows (human-in-the-loop) for critical actions. - Audit logs, status tracking, and operational dashboards. - Comprehensive error handling, job retries, and monitoring for batch processes. - Design systems supporting multi-client operations, configurable business logic, and client-specific metadata (including accounting charts, dimensions, and mappings). - Develop and sustain integrations between internal systems and external platforms (e.g., Sage Intacct and other operational systems). - Create reusable integration components, adapters, and services that streamline data interaction with source-of-truth systems. - Ensure automations adhere to robust governance practices: idempotency, auditability, access permissions, and data sustainability. - Incorporate LLM-based services into internal workflows to minimize manual categorization, extraction, and prioritization tasks, ensuring clear confidence levels and explainability. - Establish human-in-the-loop review patterns that permit team members to approve, correct, and refine the system through established rules and feedback loops. - Develop validation and quality-control mechanisms to identify anomalies and ensure accuracy before data submission or workflow progression. - Collaborate with accounting, onboarding, operations, and leadership to translate business processes into scalable technical frameworks. - Generate clear technical documentation (such as runbooks, SOPs, and architecture notes) and contribute to internal training for tool adoption. - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously enhance reliability, efficiency, and user experience.
