Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (mandatory)
- 8-10 years of pertinent experience in wireless/RAN testing, or a Masters degree coupled with 6+ years of experience
- Profound knowledge of 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies, including DL/UL scheduling, power control, beamforming, and MIMO
- In-depth understanding of RAN architecture and air interface technologies, along with protocol stacks: PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, PDCP
- Familiarity with 3GPP standards and their release cycles
- Experience in system testing, which encompasses validation, test planning, and parameter tuning
- Proficiency in lab and IOT testing environments, along with EMS systems and network element management
- Knowledge regarding software upgrades and MOP validation
- Exposure to NB-IoT, eMTC, and S1/X2 interfaces
- Experience in core and RAN integration
- Desirable: Exposure to software development or automation scripting
- Exposure to multi-vendor environments such as Samsung, Ericsson, and Nokia
Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive validation of LTE and 5G RAN products, emphasizing air interface performance and call processing
- Develop thorough system-level test scenarios based on product and feature requirements
- Conduct validation in both customer labs and internal settings
- Analyze 4G/5G KPIs and performance indicators, along with protocol stack behavior (PHY, PDCP)
- Assess new product features and software updates for performance readiness
- Identify optimization opportunities and spearhead improvement initiatives
- Manage feature validation, IOT testing, and system integration testing
- Carry out root cause analysis and troubleshoot intricate RAN challenges
- Utilize advanced testing tools such as XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, channel emulators, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
- Present validation findings, reports, and insights to customers
- Lead technical review meetings and product demonstrations
- Educate customers on new features, functionalities, and best practices
- Ensure successful adherence to customer commitments and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with internal teams across engineering logistics and Samsung HQ & regional units
- Support new product launches, upgrades, and deployments
- Contribute to MOP validation and network element management activities
- Serve as a recognized validation authority, driving solutions in intricate technical arenas
- Communicate confidently with customers, leadership, and global stakeholders
- Adapt and excel in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities
- Maintain a strong analytical mindset to navigate complex systems and organizational structures
