IT Support Specialist

As an IT Technician, I act as the first contact for employees in need of technical support. My role includes resolving IT support tickets, delivering Tier 1 technical assistance, and ensuring that all IT issues are documented and handled efficiently. I troubleshoot and resolve IT problems related to hardware (PCs, printers, servers), software (Windows, macOS, Linux, Microsoft Office, and third-party applications), networking (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi), and security (spam filters, malware, access requests). I manage IT support tickets, ensuring they are resolved promptly in alignment with SLA targets, and escalate complex cases to Senior IT personnel when necessary. Additionally, I maintain and update a knowledge base with common troubleshooting procedures and application guides. I also assist with IT projects such as system migrations, hardware upgrades, and network expansions, while collaborating with supervisors to suggest hardware and software purchases aimed at enhancing system performance. Requirements: I am looking for someone who excels at simplifying technical information for non-technical users. Proficiency in Windows (10/11), macOS, business applications, networking (TCP/IP, LAN, wireless), and hardware peripherals is essential. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS), Microsoft 365/Office 365, and virtualization (Hyper-V). Basic skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Linux Terminal, as well as strong writing skills for creating both technical and non-technical documents, are required. A valid driver's license for site travel and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs of office equipment are necessary.
