Must:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on IT support or systems experience, preferably in an MSP or multi-tenant setting
- Bachelors degree in a related field is required
- Proven ability to work primarily in or around Alameda, CA, with some remote flexibility
- Availability for occasional after-hours work for on-call duties, cutovers, maintenance, or urgent incidents
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 Administration, including Exchange Online and Entra ID
- Proficient in cloud identity and directory services like JumpCloud
- Familiar with ITIL-informed service desk and ticketing workflows
- Solid understanding of systems, virtual infrastructure, and endpoint management
- Experienced in networking and security configurations, including firewalls and VLANs
- Knowledgeable in email security measures such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
- Skilled in scripting and automation with tools like PowerShell and Bash
- Comfortable with security and vulnerability management tools

Responsibilities
- Manage complex tickets that do not require escalation to senior engineers
- Oversee and execute small to medium projects involving installations and site builds
- Provide technical leadership during implementations to alleviate senior engineers involvement
- Offer guidance and feedback to Level 1/1.5 teams to define quality standards for tickets and projects
- Lead the preparation and follow-up tasks for installations and projects with Level 1/1.5 staff
- Coach Level 1/1.5 on troubleshooting techniques and documentation standards
- Develop and enhance runbooks, checklists, and SOPs for common workflows
- Serve as a daily technical resource to minimize interruptions for team leads and escalations
- Collaborate with senior engineers on intricate design, architecture, and standards
- Transform common escalation patterns into well-documented mid-tier workflows
- Help protect senior engineers time by resolving mid-level issues independently
