Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the existing development team to enhance and upgrade essential agency applications.
- Rewrite Access ADP applications linked to SQL Server backend into Access ACCDB format, and relocate these applications to different servers.
- Facilitate the update of applications from MS Access project file format (ADP) to MS Access database file (ACCDB) and from MS SQL Server 2008 to MS SQL Server 2016 or higher, utilizing SSIS jobs.
- Assist in defining the future technical direction for the agencys application landscape.
- Uphold best practices for Documentation and code management.
- Cooperate with our internal developers and service providers to guarantee application stability and reliability.
- Strive to provide the best experience in transformation for our customers.
Description
We are seeking a skilled MS Access and SQL Server Developer for a hybrid long-term contract position based in Concord, NH. This role requires local candidates willing to work onsite for four days a week. Our team supports the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, focusing on applications related to wildlife management. We expect candidates to be comfortable in an environment that fosters hunting, fishing, and wildlife management, with potential elements such as taxidermy present.
