Requirements
Must:
- CCNA is recommended
- SD-WAN experience with VeloCloud is preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of network architecture, including switching, routing, trunking, VLANs, subnetting, and 802.11 wireless
- Familiarity with routing protocols such as OSPF, RIP, ISIS, BGP, EIGRP
- Experience with WAN connectivity solutions including T1/T3, DS3, OC3, OC12, and Metro-Ethernet, as well as SD-WAN solutions like Aryaka and SilverPeak
- In-depth experience with various VPN technologies (IPSEC, SSL VPN, WebVPN, AnyConnect, DMVPN, Hillstone VPN, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, Microsoft AD) and how to support them through VPN and firewall systems
- Proficiency in MPLS traffic engineering design, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Background working with Cisco networks, Cisco UCS, F5 load balancers, and Barracuda load balancers
- Extensive familiarity with public and private cloud services including VMware, AWS, and Aliyun
- Understanding of PCI/DSS and SOX compliance
- Ability to create and maintain documentation such as Visio diagrams, run books, RFPs, project plans, root cause analyses, and SOPs
- Typically requires 4-8 years of experience in the implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and monitoring applications
- Bachelors Degree is mandatory; a focus on Computer Information Systems is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in scaling our network infrastructure while maintaining existing LAN, WAN, and VoIP systems
- Monitor and evaluate network/system logs for security and performance issues using tools like PRTG and Netflow, providing necessary metrics
- Collaborate with the Network team on matters related to security, firewall administration, and networking
- Demonstrate expert proficiency with Cisco routers, switches, multi-protocol routing concepts, VPN configurations, and troubleshooting VLAN and connectivity issues
- Exhibit proven experience in Data Center Environments and Cloud/Co-location settings
- Investigate, analyze, and propose new technologies and solutions
- Participate in on-call support for monitoring and addressing outages
- Work alongside Managed Service Providers and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements
- Maintain a reliable and scalable network environment
- Offer assistance with troubleshooting, project management, design, analysis, and implementation of network solutions
- Develop and execute plans to mitigate technical issues
- Create periodic maintenance schedules while adhering to change management protocols
- Be organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and responsive to managements requests
- Undertake additional tasks as needed
