Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience within a database team or on database projects
- Proven expertise in developing with Microsoft SQL Server Database platform
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services or similar cloud technologies
- Capable of creating and maintaining database objects such as tables, views, indexes, user-defined functions, stored procedures, triggers, and constraints
- Solid understanding of database architecture concepts including relational models, data segmentation/partitioning, and security models
- Previous experience with:
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services or comparable enterprise reporting tools
- Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services or similar ETL tools
- Management of data feeds utilizing both structured formats (e.g., XML/JSON) and flat schemas (e.g., CSV, TXT, XLSX) via various electronic delivery methods (e.g., API/ASMX/SFTP)
- Database Administration practices including backup/restore, SQL Agent job management, and security roles
- Data Migration processes between systems is an advantage
- Database performance optimization techniques such as index tuning and execution plan assessment
- Data warehouse projects
- Ideally located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Effectively troubleshoot technical challenges linked to SQL Server and its associated technologies
- Maintain and implement new data feeds between our internal system (Ash) and external partners
- Provide support for reporting requests from both internal teams and external clients
- Aid in the implementation of data warehouse initiatives
- Update database schemas and core components, including stored procedures and views, to enhance our business systems
- Address operational data requests submitted by the team
- Propose improvements to enhance team or business operations based on received requests
- Assist in executing technical tasks related to onboarding new business partnerships and acquisitions.
