Requirements
Must:
- Extensive knowledge of SAP master and transactional data sectors.
- Practical experience with SAP MDG, Business Data Cloud, BW, Datasphere, or comparable systems.
- Proficiency in data modeling, metadata oversight, data quality, and governance standards.
- Familiarity with data architectures that facilitate analytics, AI, and compliance objectives.
- Experience in integrating SAP data with external analytics and reporting systems.
- Ability to unify data and steer engineering teams towards a consistent data vision.
- Strong facilitation abilities for resolving data ownership disputes.
- Excellent communication skills to elucidate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and budget implications to stakeholders.
- Pragmatic approach geared towards value, reusability, and simplification.
- Capacity to constructively question designs during ARB evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Establish the SAP data framework that dictates how systems store, circulate, and manage reliable enterprise data.
- Create reference data architectures using insights from application, analytics, integration, platform, and security teams to underpin new solutions and enterprise data projects.
- Support analytics and AI initiatives by ensuring data consistency, governance, and accessibility.
- Utilize SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, MDG, and analogous technologies to synchronize data and remove redundant data copies.
- Develop and uphold standardized data model catalogs to foster a collective comprehension of essential business data.
- Advance the standards of data governance, ownership, metadata, and lineage across the organization.
- Safeguard core transactional systems by minimizing excessive data replication and extraction burdens.
