Requirements

Must:
- Strong expertise in databases, data visualization, and reporting platforms like Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, Tableau, Business Objects, and ThoughtSpot. - Direct experience with data querying and constructing data sources for analysis and presentation to clients. - Background in data-driven methodologies with the ability to implement data reconciliation techniques in high-volume and mission-critical environments. - Familiarity with the legal sector, including understanding legal terminology, operations, and practices. - Proficient in data analysis, particularly in detailed examinations of source systems, data profiling, and defining measures and KPIs. - Capable of engaging with legal and engineering teams on business requirements, system architecture, data insights, user testing, and product launches. - Team-oriented skills to collaborate with diverse groups comprising lawyers, paralegals, and other professionals. - Knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines for managing sensitive data, ensuring privacy and security. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities concerning reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Business Objects, Tableau). - Comprehension of data visualization principles and practices, with a talent for converting complex data into compelling visual narratives. - Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, with a knack for explaining technical terms to non-technical users. - Proven success in a fast-paced agile development environment. - Strong sense of responsibility and accountability for the comprehensive success of the program.

Responsibilities

- Develop and manage data solutions utilizing various databases and visualization tools. - Perform data queries and create sources that facilitate rich analysis and client presentations. - Implement and oversee data reconciliation techniques in environments characterized by high-frequency data loads. - Collaborate closely with stakeholders in the legal field to understand requirements and offer system design insights. - Analyze data sets, conduct detailed data profiling, and work on KPI definitions. - Partner with legal and engineering professionals to refine business requirements and ensure effective data-driven outcomes. - Work effectively with varied teams, guiding discussions with legal staff and other related professionals. - Uphold data privacy standards and ethical considerations when handling confidential information. - Address and resolve technical issues linked to reporting and data visualization applications. - Create engaging visualizations that convey intricate data insights clearly and effectively. - Communicate complex technical information to users in an accessible manner. - Contribute substantially to team goals in a dynamic development setting, ensuring program objectives are achieved.

Description


We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Cupertino, CA, in a hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 days remote). This is a temporary contract position lasting 6 to 12 months.
