Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year institution
- Additional professional and managerial education is strongly preferred
- Over 5 years of experience as a Senior Systems and Network Engineer
- Proficient with security tools, including Active Directory, Azure AD, Fortinet firewalls, Crowdstrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender 365, and SIEM tools
- Knowledgeable in hardware, operating systems, systems software, and communication technologies such as VMware virtualization, RH Linux, and Windows Server 2016+
- Familiar with storage systems and applications, including RAID, NAS, SAN, and Veeam backup software
- Experienced with systems and network monitoring tools like Logic Monitor and Datadog
- Well-versed in network technologies and products, including Cisco routers, switches, Fortinet SD-WAN, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, and Cisco Meraki wireless solutions
- Proficient with email, collaboration, and office productivity applications, such as Microsoft 365 and 8x8
- Experience with IT Service Management tools like ServiceNow
- Capable of building and managing standardized, automated, secure self-service cloud platforms for engineering teams
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps practices
- Experience in Azure is highly advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network and system solutions
- Oversee the deployment and management of security tools to protect our infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering teams to automate cloud platform solutions
- Monitor network performance and system functionality using advanced tools
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across the organization
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain documentation related to systems and network configurations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues pertaining to storage systems and applications
- Implement updates and security patches as required
- Manage user access and permissions within Active Directory and related systems
