Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field
- Extensive experience in industrial automation and control systems
- Proficient in PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, particularly Rockwell Automation platforms
- Strong knowledge of virtualization infrastructure (Hyper-V, VMware ESXi)
- Experience with industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP)
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, PMO, OSHA, NFPA, 3-A Sanitary Standards)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- Strong project management and leadership abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
Responsibilities
- Program, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems on Rockwell Automation platforms
- Oversee all aspects of the Rockwell Automation portfolio, including firmware management and system health
- Develop and enhance control logic for various processing systems and utilities
- Manage and maintain virtualization infrastructure and Windows Server environments
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial network infrastructures
- Implement a preventive maintenance program for automation assets
- Conduct corrective maintenance to reduce production downtime
- Manage the spare parts strategy for critical automation components
- Lead and execute automation capital and improvement projects from start to finish
- Develop technical specifications and system architecture documentation
- Coordinate with vendors and system integrators to ensure system compatibility
- Provide immediate troubleshooting support during production operations
- Analyze equipment performance to determine root causes of issues
- Participate in root cause analyses and Management of Change processes
- Coordinate commissioning and startup of new equipment
- Ensure automation changes adhere to change-control procedures
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and enhance safety systems
- Identify opportunities for process automation and plant efficiency improvements
- Support digital transformation efforts in automation
- Mentor junior automation engineers and plant personnel on best practices
- Collaborate with global engineering and IT teams on initiatives
