Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Over 10 years of experience in software development
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Fixed Income Products and their Electronic Workflows
- Strong knowledge of Java, SQL, and Git
- Solid understanding of industry-standard trading protocols like FIX and FpML
- Expertise in Data Standards and Data Modeling
- Familiarity with text-based formats such as XML and JSON
- Proficient with messaging frameworks like MQ and Kafka
- Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration
- Knowledge of testing patterns and DevOps
- Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Trading and Messaging Channels, interfacing with various venues and exchanges using industry-standard protocols
- Oversee mission-critical systems and implement daily enhancements for both front office and Operations
- Provide technical direction on major Fixed Income E-Commerce projects
- Design and code core components in Java
- Establish and execute system testing protocols
- Collaborate with various teams in a platform operating model
- Analyze and support vendor software solutions
- Manage stakeholder communications and expectations
- Prioritize projects effectively
- Ensure the delivery and maintenance of applications in the Equities domain
- Provide second-level technical support
- Utilize AI tools such as Gitlab, Windsurf, and Co-Pilot
- Create Unit Test Cases for integration into CI/CD pipelines
Description
We are looking for exceptionally skilled Senior Java Developers to become part of our core Fixed Income team, taking on both leadership and support roles. Our team focuses on the design, development, and implementation of applications that support both front office and operations groups. We work closely with various stakeholders, trading teams, and technology departments to optimize application performance. You will engage hands-on in understanding business workflows and drive the modernization of our platform towards a scalable, cloud-based microservice architecture. This position is available for both contract and full-time opportunities across multiple locations, including Lake Mary, FL and Pittsburgh, PA.
