Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Over 5 years of experience in Kafka administration, preferably with the Confluent platform
- Proven skills in performing Kafka upgrades and resolving issues in production environments
- Strong Linux system administration capabilities
- Proficient in Python and/or Bash scripting for automation purposes
- Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and performance analysis
- Confluent Kafka certification is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters in a reliable and highly available setup
- Carry out Kafka upgrades and patches while ensuring minimal downtime during transitions
- Manage security protocols and access controls to safeguard the platform
- Monitor the health and performance of clusters using our designated monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to cluster operations, including broker outages and replication delays
- Create and improve automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency and lessen manual tasks
- Collaborate in planning and managing cluster resources to facilitate future growth
