Requirements
Must:
- 2-year Technical Degree in Drafting or Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as per ASME Y14.5-2009, GDTP Professional Certification preferred
- Familiarity with Digital Product Definition Practices according to ASME Y14.41
- In-depth knowledge of standard manufacturing processes, including CNC mill and lathe operations
- Experienced with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
- Comfortable spending extended periods at a workstation
- Good command of Word, Excel, Windows, NX, and Teamcenter
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Responsibilities
- Review mechanical drawings alongside relevant personnel to verify completed work and check dimensions, materials, and quantities
- Engage in mechanical modeling utilizing NX managed with Teamcenter
- Create and revise parametric drawings in accordance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards
- Supervise and guide staff activities as needed
- Perform other related duties as required
- Verify 3D models intended for manufacturing using Siemens NX with Teamcenter
- Liaise with various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, and Quality personnel, and occasionally interact with vendors
Description
We are seeking an experienced Designer 4 to join our Mechanical Engineering Design team at our Chandler, AZ facility. This 12-month contract position offers a pay rate of $35-43/hr W2, with potential for more for the right candidate. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Launch Vehicle Division, responsible for ensuring compliance with industry and military standards while working closely with different engineering teams.
