Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in science, engineering, or a related field with 5 years of relevant STEM experience
- Alternatively, an additional 4 years of applicable experience can substitute for a Bachelors degree
- Advanced and thorough technical expertise in Red Hat and/or other Linux operating systems
- Proficient in using and working with Splunk
- In-depth understanding of STIGs, STIG implementation, and DNS, particularly Linux BIND
- Experience in scripting/programming (e.g., Bash/Shell, Ansible, Python, etc.)
- Full-time on-site work at San Diego Spectrum Center campus
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
- Must be a US Citizen
- Capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians in a laboratory setting
- Provide guidance on the integration of emerging industry technologies into the programs systems
- Implement necessary engineering alterations to the system
- Review, analyze, and incorporate technical requirements into comprehensive system architectures
- Manage network configurations and coordinate with peers, subject matter experts, and government engineers
- Potential travel may be required for project needs
Description
We are seeking a Linux Systems Architect for a 12-month contract in San Diego, CA, with compensation ranging from $75 to $115 per hour based on experience. This position is part of our wider digital transformation efforts, leveraging Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies to enhance national defense capabilities.
