Requirements
Must:
- Current sophomore or junior students preferred, or seniors transferring to a masters or PhD program.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Biochemistry.
- Commitment to full-time, on-site work at our Thousand Oaks facility for five days a week.
- Proven ability to function effectively within a team environment.
- Comfortable operating in a cleanroom setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Required technical skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Windows PowerShell, Command Prompt, and basic hardware usage.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, HTML/CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/ReactJS, SQL, C#, and C++ (not all required).
- Preferred knowledge of tools like Power BI, RPA Automation, Power Automate, GitHub, SourceTree, ReactJS, NumPy, Axios, Firebase, FileZilla, Figma, Postman, Trello, and Slack.
Responsibilities
- Create a digital solution that automates or simplifies a current business process for deployment during the internship.
- Participate in necessary training to effectively use digital tools related to the assigned projects.
- Collaborate and coordinate project activities with colleagues in departments like Quality and Manufacturing.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation on the assigned projects to stakeholders and business partners after execution or deployment.
- Facilitate the transfer of the digital solution to local and/or Global IT teams for ongoing development or maintenance.
Description
We are excited to offer this internship opportunity, allowing students to apply their IT skills in a meaningful way within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector, particularly supporting areas related to Quality and Manufacturing. Our intern will work on impactful IT projects over a 3-month assignment. Youll gain hands-on experience alongside seasoned IT professionals, enhancing your understanding of IT systems in a manufacturing setting. This role is located in Los Angeles, CA and promises enriching development opportunities, including mentorship and networking with industry professionals.
