Requirements
Must:
- PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline with over 2 years of pertinent experience, or a Masters degree with more than 6 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive familiarity with large language models (e.g., GPT, Claude, Llama) and their application in complex reasoning assignments.
- Proficient in Python and experienced with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar technologies.
- Proven experience in building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, including vector databases, embedding models, and retrieval workflows.
- Solid understanding of drug discovery processes and scientific research methodologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and the skill to convert intricate scientific processes into computational workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop agentic AI systems for applications in drug discovery, including target-disease associations, automated literature reviews, hypothesis generation, and experiment design.
- Transform standard research workflows into agentic frameworks, breaking down complex scientific processes into tasks manageable by autonomous agents that can reason, plan, and execute tools.
- Create and implement new capabilities (tools, functions, APIs) that enhance agentic functions in specialized scientific domains, such as molecular design and data analysis.
- Construct agentic systems that integrate with foundational models and external knowledge resources for independent hypothesis generation and scientific reasoning.
- Design retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines linking agents to both internal and external scientific literature, databases, and experimental findings.
- Collaborate with research scientists to grasp workflow requirements, validate agent outputs, and refine system designs to ensure scientific validity and practicality.
- Keep up-to-date with innovations in agentic AI, large language model applications, and scientific automation; contribute to internal knowledge sharing and external publications.
