Requirements
Must:
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related discipline, or MS with over 6 years of relevant experience, or BS with over 8 years of relevant experience
- Profound knowledge of contemporary deep learning frameworks including transformers and generative models
- Strong experience in training large-scale models with proficiency in PyTorch and distributed training systems
- Basic understanding of biology, chemistry, or disease biology to ensure sound model development
- Experience with at least one of the following: protein language models, molecular generative models, or biomedical vision models
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and large-scale GPU training
Responsibilities
- Develop and train advanced AI models (LLMs, diffusion models, flow-matching architectures) tailored for drug discovery, utilizing extensive scientific databases
- Fine-tune and adapt existing foundation models for specific applications in target identification, disease modeling, and molecular design
- Construct multimodal foundation models that integrate diverse data types such as omics, biomedical imaging, and protein structures
- Implement cutting-edge methods including graph neural networks and transformer-based models for diverse learning tasks
- Leverage domain knowledge in biology, chemistry, and disease biology to inform model architecture choices and data evaluation strategies
- Utilize state-of-the-art generative techniques for molecular generation and optimization tasks
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary scientists to deploy foundation models addressing various discovery requirements
- Stay updated with advancements in AI and multimodal learning; contribute to knowledge sharing and scholarly publications
