Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in technical support roles, particularly with POS systems and computer management
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and macOS, with familiarity in Linux environments
- Expertise in networking concepts such as LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Proficiency in resolving software issues using diagnostic tools; experience with Help Desk systems like ServiceNow or Jira is preferred
- Solid understanding of computer hardware components and maintenance protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical solutions to non-technical users
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment while maintaining a positive demeanor
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical assistance for POS hardware and software, encompassing installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Manage computer systems, operating systems (Windows and macOS), and network connectivity to maximize performance
- Diagnose and resolve problems related to computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications using Help Desk platforms like ServiceNow or Jira
- Support IT infrastructure components, including LAN, VPN, firewalls, and network switches, to ensure secure and reliable connectivity
- Assist with desktop support duties, such as operating system updates, software installations, and user account management through BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to swiftly address complex technical issues while maintaining high customer service standards
- Thoroughly document all support activities and escalate unresolved issues to senior IT personnel when necessary
