Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years of IT support experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in network management, hardware installation, and user assistance.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and production equipment connections is advantageous.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service abilities.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up manufacturing environment.
- Physical ability to navigate the production area frequently and operate in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Capacity to lift and transport IT equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing ladders when required for equipment setup and cabling.
- Comfort working in conditions that necessitate personal protective equipment and exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery.
Responsibilities
- Install, set up, and maintain computers, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and floor terminals.
- Provide ongoing technical assistance to production, engineering, quality, and administrative teams.
- Facilitate connectivity and integration between manufacturing systems (MES), ERP systems, and production machinery.
- Monitor network performance, system uptime, and data backup processes to reduce downtime.
- Oversee user account management, access permissions, and cybersecurity measures according to organizational policies.
- Efficiently troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with vendors for system installation, upkeep, and upgrades.
- Image, deploy, and manage IT resources for new employees and production lines.
- Maintain detailed IT documentation, inventory records, and standard operating procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of IT processes throughout the facility.
- Support rapid setup of IT infrastructure for newly established production lines and office spaces.
- Manage high-volume workstation deployment and user onboarding processes.
- Expand network capabilities to accommodate increased automation and workforce demands.
- Provide on-site support to ensure minimal disruptions to start-up and production timelines.
Description
We are seeking an IT Specialist to support and enhance our plants IT infrastructure, ensuring it operates reliably, securely, and efficiently across both office and production environments. This crucial role involves deploying new systems, setting up workstations, and accommodating a growing workforce to achieve production goals. We offer a competitive hourly wage, ranging from $20 to $25, along with a comprehensive benefits package including dental and health insurance, paid time off, and vision coverage.
