Requirements

Must:
- Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles with a strong understanding of IT support best practices. - Solid knowledge of operating systems such as Windows (client and server editions), macOS, and Linux distributions. - Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. - Experience managing networks involving LANs, TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPN setup, and firewalls like Meraki or similar platforms. - Proficient in troubleshooting software issues across various applications, including the Microsoft Office suite. - Ability to utilize remote management tools like SCCM for software deployment and updates; experience with Active Directory management is essential. - Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex issues promptly and accurately. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. - Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira is preferred. - Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

- Respond rapidly to incoming help desk requests through ServiceNow, Jira, or other ticketing systems, ensuring user issues are resolved in a timely manner. - Troubleshoot software issues across multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. - Manage and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, to optimize their performance and reliability. - Assist with networking tasks, such as configuring LANs, setting up VPNs, managing DNS, TCP/IP protocols, and firewall settings to ensure secure connectivity. - Help with software deployment and updates using tools like SCCM and GPO. - Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure components, including Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory. - Provide support for collaboration tools like Microsoft Office applications and email clients. - Assist remote users by configuring VPN access, troubleshooting connectivity problems, and managing mobile devices. - Document solutions thoroughly to contribute to a knowledge base aimed at improving support efficiency.
