Requirements
Must:
- A degree (Bachelors, Masters, or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline
- Strong expertise in C/C++ programming for real-time applications
- Experience with embedded systems and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or Linux
- Knowledge of kernel low-level drivers
- In-depth understanding of GNSS principles, signal processing, and navigation technologies
- Familiarity with development tools such as GitHub, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain embedded C/C++ software for GNSS receiver hardware and microcontrollers
- Incorporate features for Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM), spoofing/jamming detection, and signal quality evaluation to ensure reliable positioning data
- Collaborate with hardware engineers for board bring-up and validate performance through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and real-world tests
- Interface with various communication protocols such as CAN bus, Serial, SPI/I2C/UART, and IP networks to manage correction data transmission and reception
Description
We are seeking an Autonomy GNSS Firmware Engineer to join our team in Mountain View, CA for a 12-month contract. In this role, you will specialize in developing vital low-level embedded software that enables autonomous systems, such as self-driving vehicles, drones, and robotic technologies, to accurately determine their geographic location utilizing Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). You will play an essential role in fusing positioning data with a range of sensors to ensure safe and dependable navigation.
