Requirements
Must:
- Experience in software development utilizing modern robotics frameworks
- Proficient in C++/C and Python, with a background in embedded applications
- Knowledge of software architecture design best practices
- Understanding of contemporary communication technologies and networking protocols (CAN, TCP/IP)
- Familiarity with software analysis, linting, and testing tools
- Experience in systems-level programming
- Experience in a regulated, safety-critical, or quality-managed environment (desirable)
- Familiarity with control systems in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or related fields (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our control team to design infrastructure and integrate embedded software with an advanced C++ autonomy stack
- Engage with autonomy planning and control software, as well as embedded layer software and vehicle platform commands and monitoring
- Create frameworks for robotics software that operate across various hardware devices
- Develop software that directly impacts the on-road behavior of autonomous vehicles, including modes of operation, fault management, and health monitoring
- Work with software/hardware interfaces including embedded system simulations, hardware-in-the-loop setups, and vehicle system level testing
- Construct tools to automate testing and analysis of the control subsystem to support verification against safety-critical coverage standards
- Conduct development in Linux-based environments in addition to RTOS embedded surroundings
