Requirements
Must:
- Strong UI/UX design portfolio demonstrating website layouts and wireframes.
- Expertise in building and customizing WordPress sites, including themes, templates, and plugins.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and contemporary front-end methodologies.
- Experience in developing complex, multi-section WordPress pages from inception to implementation.
- Ability to interpret vague or high-level specifications and transform them into detailed wireframes and finished pages.
- Excellent communication abilities and capacity to work autonomously in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, visually appealing web pages in line with brand guidelines.
- Develop new wireframes, mockups, and layout concepts for pages and microsites.
- Ensure all designs adhere to responsive and mobile-first best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and convert ideas into actionable designs.
- Construct and tailor WordPress pages, templates, and theme elements.
- Develop complex, multi-section pages that demand custom layouts, dynamic components, or backend functions.
- Enhance site performance, accessibility, and user-friendliness.
- Diagnose and resolve front-end and WordPress-related technical issues.
- Implement backend functionalities essential for advanced or custom pages.
- Integrate APIs, custom fields (ACF), or plugin settings as necessary.
- Maintain clear, well-structured code throughout the development process.
Description
We are looking for a versatile and highly capable WordPress Developer to assist with our ongoing website design and development needs. This position is perfect for someone who can effectively merge creative design, front-end web development, and technical WordPress knowledge. You will be involved in constructing new web pages, crafting wireframes for new concepts, and creating intricate custom pages necessitating both a solid design sense and backend development skills. Our team operates fully remotely, handling an average of 5-10 new page build requests per month. We offer a flexible work schedule with accountability for deadlines, and there is potential for additional project expansion and long-term collaboration. This is a contract position based out of Atlanta, GA, with competitive pay in the range of $45.00 - $50.00/hr, and eligibility for various benefits.
