Requirements
Must:
- Proven expertise in marketing website UX focusing on hierarchy, storytelling, conversion patterns, CTAs, and forms
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, design systems)
- Strong experience with WordPress, particularly with Gutenberg/block editor and custom theme development
- Skilled in HTML, CSS (responsive), and JavaScript
- Basic understanding of PHP and WordPress templating
- Experience developing reusable component systems (both design and implementation)
- Strong knowledge of accessibility practices and performance optimization
- Portfolio showcasing both digital design and completed front-end implementations
- Familiarity with building custom Gutenberg blocks (React-based) is a plus
- Understanding of ACF, custom post types, and WordPress build tools is preferred
- Experience with Tailwind, Sass, or component-driven CSS methodologies is advantageous
- Knowledge of Webpack/Vite, linting, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tools is beneficial
- Experience with analytics/experimentation tools such as GA4, GTM, or Optimizely/VWO is desirable
- Exposure to headless WordPress or contemporary WordPress frameworks is optional

Responsibilities
- Create page layouts, UI components, and responsive patterns tailored for marketing applications
- Generate developer-ready assets and oversee structured handovers between design and build phases
- Ensure coherence between Figma and WordPress using shared components and comprehensive documentation
- Collaborate on UX evaluations and suggest enhancements using wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs
- Work closely with content, demand generation, and IT engineering teams to align on requirements and deployment schedules
- Develop an intuitive editor experience for non-technical CMS users using guideline-driven approaches
- Maintain and prioritize a backlog of enhancements based on analytics data, heatmaps, and user feedback
- Contribute to cross-functional planning and ongoing iterations of the website
Description
We are seeking a hybrid Web Designer / Developer with robust skills in Figma, WordPress (Gutenberg), and modern front-end development. In this role, we will empower you to take ownership of both the UX/UI design and the development of reusable, scalable components that contribute to our high-performance marketing website. You will play a crucial role in shaping our design system, enhancing the WordPress experience, and collaborating across teams to provide accessible, fast, and brand-aligned digital experiences. This is a fully remote position with a competitive pay range of $45.00 - $55.00 per hour, along with various benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k) options.
