Requirements
Must:
- AutoDesk certified in AutoCAD or Revit, or proficient in Visio
- RCDD certification or willingness to obtain it within the next year
- 1-2 years of experience with Department of Defense (DoD) standards for the design and installation of IT infrastructure to support Protected Distribution Systems (PDS) is preferred
- Expertise in telecommunications engineering, telecommunications systems, and design engineering
- Familiarity with DoD compliance and security protocols
- Strong skills in PDS assessment and internal IT team coordination
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of existing PDS conduit pathways to ensure compliance with current DoD regulations
- Identify and gather IT infrastructure requirements to support new and ongoing PDS installation requests
- Create floor plans, rack elevations, specifications, and documentation including budgets and schedules
- Present and review design proposals with team members and clients
- Collaborate with Contracts, Plant Facilities, and onsite partners to implement designs
- Perform pre-construction design reviews and quality control inspections
- Oversee construction and implementation of telecommunications and technology systems for both classified and unclassified networks
- Coordinate site surveys, schedules, security escorts, and inspections with customers and operational partners
- Work in conjunction with the internal design team to enhance infrastructure and services
- Assist internal IT teams with daily operations as necessary during project execution

We are seeking a Telecommunications Network Engineer to join our growing team in Laurel, MD. This is a Contract to Hire role, offering a competitive pay rate between $62.50 and $72.11 per hour.
