Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred. - Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience. - Technical certifications are advantageous. - Ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform tasks like climbing ladders. - Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues. - Excellent communication and customer service capabilities. - Highly organized with strong attention to detail. - Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment while providing phone and in-person support. - Self-motivated and dependable, capable of independent work. - Comfortable engaging with users at all levels of the organization. - General knowledge of IT service management concepts.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including identifying defective equipment prior to deployment. - Address software and application challenges and assist with updates or installations. - Support maintenance tasks such as configuration, upgrades, and data migrations. - Aid in setting up, replacing, and meeting general technical support requirements for equipment. - Provide fundamental support in network rooms, including conducting equipment checks and organizing cables. - Manage issue resolution and escalate to other support teams when necessary. - Maintain thorough documentation of equipment, software, and system modifications. - Communicate effectively with end users, offering guidance in a professional and customer-oriented manner. - Travel to various sites as required to support users and their equipment.

We are seeking a Technology Support Specialist to deliver hands-on assistance for hardware, software, and application environments. This role involves maintaining devices, facilitating installations and upgrades, supporting system utilities, and collaborating on issue resolution. You will work directly with end users, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure the seamless operation of IT systems across multiple locations. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $19.00 to $24.00 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan. This position is fully onsite in Morehead, KY, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
