Requirements
Must:
- 6 years of experience in writing and editing documents
- Minimum of 2 years of support for IT operations or related content
- Bachelors degree in English, Literature, or a related field; or a Masters Degree with one year of specialized experience; or a high school diploma with at least nine years of specialized experience
- Familiarity with ITIL Foundations v3 or 4 and some project lifecycle training (waterfall/agile) preferred
- Strong technical writing skills and proficiency with Office 365 software
- Ability to create/edit Visio workflows and identify process bottlenecks
- Experience gathering and validating content with IT and operations teams
- Detail-oriented with the ability to understand technical discussions
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to analyze program information and deliver requirements on time
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and write/edit various materials including manuals, proposals, and technical publications
- Gather technical data through observation, consultation with technical staff, and review of previous documentation
- Collaborate with users, analysts, specialists, and programmers for background information on technologies and standards
- Revise text and suggest changes in scope, format, and content to adhere to established guidelines
- Edit and standardize content prepared by other writers
- Carry out final quality assurance checks on all written materials
