Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (Masters degree preferred)
- Professional Engineering license in the state
- 5-15 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics and laboratory testing techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in CADD software and Microsoft Office
- Reliable, positive attitude, and ability to meet project deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and adept at working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with multiple concurrent deadlines
Technologies
Responsibilities
- Overseeing geotechnical engineering projects from initiation to completion
- Designing field exploration programs and laboratory testing strategies for geotechnical assessments
- Drafting proposals for geotechnical engineering services
- Managing and coordinating field investigation operations
- Gathering, sampling, and documenting soil and rock materials during field operations
- Conducting research, performing engineering evaluations, and creating detailed geotechnical reports
- Tracking project budgets and timelines to ensure compliance with all requirements
- Assessing foundation and grading plans for adherence to geotechnical recommendations
- Collaborating with civil and structural engineers, architects, and construction managers
- Maintaining core working hours of Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with potential overtime
- Undertaking additional tasks as assigned
