Systems Engineer/Architect (Cloud focus)

- Work onsite at our Annapolis, MD facility four days per week - Lead technical engineering teams on complex system-focused projects, developing solutions collaboratively - Act as the technology lead on significant projects, collaborating with engineering team members to create technical architecture proposals - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for modern data network architectures, evaluating and suggesting relevant technologies for global deployment - Formulate and execute project plans within defined budgetary, scheduling, and resource parameters - Capture, analyze, decompose, and formulate requirements for complex systems, products, and subsystems - Employ an interdisciplinary approach focused on customer needs to design, document, test, and maintain systems of varying complexities - Develop technical product roadmaps outlining migration from current to targeted future states - Achieve cost efficiencies by transitioning the product portfolio towards a unified architecture where feasible - Ensure alignment of design and development activities within the engineering team to the approved architectural framework - Author, review, and manage documentation through all phases of the system design lifecycle - Engage with industry bodies and standards groups to align with client interests and disseminate insights within the organization - Express ideas effectively in both business and technical terms to secure stakeholder buy-in
