Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Quality Analyst or in a similar role
- Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to methodically navigate multi-step failures and accurately identify root causes
- Proficiency in reading structured data formats such as JSON and log outputs
- High attention to detail and comfort with high-volume analytical tasks
- Experience in test planning, design, and execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership experience and capability in overseeing complex projects
- Familiarity with testing mobile devices, hardware, home technologies, or Bluetooth accessories is advantageous
- Preferred educational background: BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Curiosity, proactivity, and enthusiasm for solving complex problems
Responsibilities
- Conduct test planning, test case development, and execution for mobile and desktop platforms
- Focus on triaging multi-step evaluation failures by interpreting logs, structured data, and test results
- Assess failure patterns and group related issues to identify root causes
- Review and rectify data and configuration errors during evaluation workflows
- Submit clear and detailed defect reports that include thorough root cause analyses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on device-specific issues and escalate major quality concerns
- Provide consistent reporting on areas of ownership and quality assessments
Description
We are excited to offer a contract position for a Software Quality Analyst II (Manual) located in Cupertino, CA, on-site at a prestigious Silicon Valley tech campus. This role focuses on evaluation triage, where you will dive deep into complex issues to identify root causes and drive resolutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a secure lab environment, gaining hands-on experience with unreleased technologies. The compensation for this position ranges from $30 to $40 per hour based on your qualifications.
