Software Engineer - Java and Python

- Bachelors Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent relevant experience - Advanced expertise in Java and Object-Oriented Design - Proficient in writing RESTful web services - Skilled in at least one messaging and event streaming platform, such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ - Competent with multiple database types (SQL, NoSQL, GeoSpatial, etc.) - Experience in architecture and design of back-end software applications - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of working in a team setting - Familiarity with various IDEs like VSCode, Eclipse, or NetBeans - Experience with JavaScript and Node.js - Background in developing microservices using the Spring Boot framework - Knowledge of build systems such as Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins - Experience with automated testing tools like JUnit, Jest, or Selenium - Basic Linux and Windows system administration skills - Experience working with virtual machines and Docker containers - Familiarity with the Open Container Initiative (OCI) for application development - Understanding of container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Helm) - Understanding of application security principles and the Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) - Experience with static code analysis tools, e.g., SonarQube and Fortify - Capable of applying mathematical and statistical processes to software algorithms - Background in military intelligence, strategy planning, or imagery - Awareness of command and control (C2) systems - Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques - Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
