Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR an advanced degree with 1+ year of experience; OR 7+ years of relevant experience in place of a degree
- Proficiency in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), encompassing planning, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications
- Experience in developing Java enterprise applications
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities
- 2+ years of Java Enterprise Development experience, particularly with OpenJDK
- Practical experience with enterprise messaging platforms such as IBM MQ Series, Java Message Service (JMS), RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or comparable technologies
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a development team, including Technical Leads and Architects
Responsibilities
- Design and create essential features within proprietary software to facilitate the movement of millions of messages globally
- Assist in upgrading proprietary software to a newer version of OpenJDK
- Aid in the accelerated development of DevSecOps pipelines for automated builds and testing within CI/CD environments
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, Architects, and fellow Software Engineers to support vital initiatives and explore opportunities for expanding the aviation market
