Requirements
Must:
- High School Degree, Vocational School, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of field experience
- Familiarity with various security systems like Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI preferred
- Possession of state-specific licensing (e.g., Class D, Alarm Installer) or ability to obtain one upon hire
- Understanding of Windows operating systems and overall IT network structure
- Highly proactive individual who consistently demonstrates our core values
- Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with internal and external clients
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties for emergency service requests
- Proficient troubleshooting and mechanical/electronic aptitude
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights of up to 16 ft
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Responsibilities
- Conduct service, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on access control equipment and IP-based video systems
- Travel to commercial client locations for troubleshooting and repair of security equipment
- Identify installation issues and implement effective, efficient resolutions according to installation standards
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes by repairing security systems as needed
- Maintain all documentation related to service issues for tracking purposes
- Demonstrate proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as CCTV testing equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and related documentation relevant to low voltage applications
- Foster and maintain effective relationships with both internal teams and external clients
- Provide phone and online remote diagnostic support
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by Operations Management
Description
We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician who will be instrumental in maintaining and troubleshooting access control and video security systems. Our role requires extensive travel to our commercial clients sites, providing an exciting opportunity to work in varied environments. This position is located in Tamarac, FL, and is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a competitive hourly pay range of $28.00 - $40.00.
