Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Over 7 years of relevant professional experience in software development
- Demonstrated ability to organize and direct product development projects
- Significant experience in developing and implementing complex enterprise applications in multi-tier environments
- Experience in evaluating and deploying both off-the-shelf and custom-built enterprise solutions
- Proficiency in C#, Java, .NET, JavaScript, MS SQL, or related technologies
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices
- Skilled in utilizing developer tools, including Generative AI
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and open source software
- Proficient in agile and plan-driven project management methodologies
- Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD and containerization
- Awareness of secure coding practices
Responsibilities
- Take the lead on software development projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions on time and within budget
- Direct technical solutions, project planning, workload management, and timeline estimations for development efforts
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code adhering to established best practices and coding standards
- Utilize appropriate frameworks for executing projects
- Design high-quality software solutions that enhance user experiences while being maintainable and easy to support
- Consider solution economics and total ownership costs during the design and development phases
- Analyze and document system interactions, design impacts, and performance trade-offs
- Establish and refine software engineering standards and practices
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to departmental standards
- Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
- Offer support for custom software solutions, addressing and resolving issues within set timelines
