Requirements

Must:
- 5-7+ years in software engineering, test automation, SDET, or quality engineering roles. - Strong programming experience in one or more languages (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, etc.). - Proficient with modern test frameworks (JUnit/TestNG, PyTest, Playwright/Cypress, REST Assured, etc.). - Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and aligned DevSecOps practices. - Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and current software engineering principles. - Experience using AI-enabled quality engineering tools (self-healing, autonomous test generation, etc.). - Knowledge of observability, logs, dashboards, and performance testing tools (Dynatrace, LoadRunner, Graylog). - Hands-on experience with testing and automating REST APIs, microservices, integrations, and cloud-based systems. - Experience with cloud or container platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes). - Relevant industry certifications (CSQE, ISTQB, or similar).

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and uphold robust automated test frameworks for API, UI, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing. - Produce high-quality automation code in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#). - Collaborate with developers to enhance unit testing patterns, code quality, and design for testability. - Ensure seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enhance feedback speed and deliver confidence. - Identify and automate high-value testing opportunities to replace laborious manual tasks. - Utilize Gen AI tools for automating test generation, offering code suggestions, classifying defects, and delivering quality insights. - Contribute to the establishment of self-healing automation frameworks and AI-assisted testing tools. - Advocate for responsible AI deployment in engineering tasks and mentor team members in AI-supported testing methods. - Transform business and system requirements into risk-informed testing strategies and automation coverage models. - Partner with developers, architects, and quality engineering leads to create API-focused quality strategies that align with platform modernization. - Support test data design, service mocks, simulation layers, and synthetic test environments. - Examine logs, telemetry, and monitoring data to detect systemic issues and build long-lasting quality enhancements. - Collaborate with various teams (Application Engineering, DevSecOps, Architecture, and Operations) to create a cohesive quality model. - Enhance pipeline quality leveraging CI/CD best practices, static analysis, quality gates, and automated checks. - Engage in production issue reviews to identify patterns in debugging, API testing, and engineering practices. - Execute hands-on testing for complex workflows, integrations, and edge cases requiring human judgment. - Analyze defects, logs, and system behavior to spot gaps in coverage and testing strategy. - Maintain thorough documentation for test frameworks, automation suites, and quality processes. - Assess and propose new tools, frameworks, and engineering practices in line with enterprise standards.
