Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in banking or payments as a Business Analyst, Payments Analyst, Product Analyst, or Product Owner.
- Comprehensive knowledge in areas such as ACH processing and NACHA regulations, wire transfers, retail checking and deposit accounts, debit card systems, bill pay services, and consumer payment operations.
- Direct experience with banking conversions, migrations, or core banking transitions.
- Strong analytical and data-driven outlook with the ability to pinpoint gaps and enhance plans.
- Proficient in gathering requirements, documenting processes, and designing functional specs.
- Proven capability to dissect problems and develop structured workflows.
- Familiarity with Jira for writing stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria.
- Solid understanding of Jira, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Experience in managing project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and testing activities.
- Ability to coordinate numerous workstreams in a dynamic delivery environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a polished professional demeanor.
- Comfortable collaborating across various departments including Technology, Product, Finance, Operations, and Leadership.
- Proactive in seeking clarification, asking pertinent follow-up questions, and driving clarity in communication.
- Capable of simplifying complex concepts related to payments and migrations for business stakeholders.
- Experience in retail banking, payments operations, or cash management is preferred.
- Background in account migrations, conversions, or transitions related to payment systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of payment networks, bill pay platforms, debit card lifecycle, and banking service functions.
- Exposure to digital banking, cash management accounts (CMA), and modernizing payment capabilities is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Conduct gap analysis to determine unmet requirements, risks, and discrepancies in payments, deposits, and servicing processes.
- Update project plans and deliverables in accordance with data insights and stakeholder feedback.
- Analyze complex datasets and categorize them into appropriate workstreams (Payments, Deposits, Debit Cards, Wires, Bill Pay, Operations, Technology).
- Formulate insightful discovery queries related to dependencies on transferring consumer checking accounts and associated payments between institutions.
- Gather, clarify, and thoroughly document both business and functional requirements.
- Create Jira epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development.
- Assist in mapping processes, payment flows, and system dependencies.
- Develop use cases, functional specifications, process diagrams, and comprehensive system documentation.
- Support a large-scale banking transition involving ACH accounts, debit card migrations, checking and deposit accounts, wire transfer capabilities, and bill payment services.
- Analyze operational, technical, and client impacts associated with the migration of retail banking accounts.
- Assess edge cases, payment failures, exceptions, and data quality issues concerning the conversion of over 25,000 accounts.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Operations to detail non-technical requirements including servicing needs, communication strategies, readiness, and customer impact.
- Monitor outstanding tasks, risks, assumptions, issues, and workstream dependencies to facilitate effective execution by Product and Technology teams.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Operations, and Engineering to synchronize timelines, priorities, and milestones.
- Facilitate discussions across various functional areas including payments, deposits, servicing, fraud, risk, and technology.
- Proactively seek answers and follow up on queries across business and technical teams.

In this hybrid role based in Fort Mill, SC, we focus on analytical tasks across multiple workstreams and complex data analysis to ensure seamless execution by our Product, Technology, and Operations teams.
