Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years in Security Engineering/Identity Infrastructure, including 5+ years of direct experience with Microsoft AD CS and managing CA infrastructure
- Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and operating multi-tier Microsoft PKI in large and complex environments
- In-depth knowledge of X.509, CRL/OCSP, EKU/KU, SANs, key algorithms (RSA/ECC), and hashing (SHA-2)
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell and Windows Server administration including GPOs, autoenrollment, templates, and AIA/CDP configuration
- Experience with 802.1X/EAP-TLS, TLS/mTLS, VPN authentication, and device/user certificate issuance at scale
- Familiarity with HSM solutions (e.g., nCipher/Entrust/Thales) for CA key management
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services focusing on Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS)
- Ensure seamless integration of PKI with Active Directory, overseeing forests/domains, CA hierarchy governance, and automation in certificate lifecycle management
- Architect and maintain PKI solutions including root CA, policy CA, and issuing CA structures, implementing secure key ceremonies and workflows
- Engineer solutions for mutual TLS, device identity, code signing, S/MIME, and disk encryption certificates
- Own the certificate lifecycle management process, including renewal, revocation, and automation using tools like Intune and GPOs
- Manage and monitor CRL/OCSP publication and design geo-distributed revocation endpoints
- Apply strong key management practices, conduct risk assessments, and lead root cause analysis for PKI-related incidents
