Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Open to 75% travel
- Associates degree in computer programming or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years of data center experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving and customer service aptitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Responsibilities
- Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance errors
- Resolve program error messages by troubleshooting or terminating the program
- Assist programmers and systems analysts with testing and debugging new applications
- Use spreadsheet programs and other software to manipulate data and generate reports
- Follow procedures for the preparation, installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, equipment replacement, and decommissioning under the guidance of Datacenter Technician Leads
- Prepare, stage, and perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware as per written guidelines and checklists
