Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data centers, specifically in break/fix, hardware deployment, and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and their components
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel up to 75% on a national level
Responsibilities
- Remove network and power cabling as part of data center decommissioning initiatives
- Run, label, stage, and dismantle power and network cables
- Prepare, stage, install, troubleshoot, replace, and decommission hardware adhering to established guidelines
- Perform basic startups and shutdowns in line with documented instructions and standard operating procedures
- Conduct physical audits of data center assets
- Monitor systems for potential hardware failures or performance issues
- Address error conditions by troubleshooting, resolving issues, or escalating as necessary
- Assist with testing and debugging of new systems or deployments
- Utilize productivity tools (spreadsheets, reports, documentation) to track and support operations
Description
We are looking for traveling Data Center Technicians to be part of our Rapid Response Team, focusing on large-scale enterprise data center operations. This role involves break/fix support, deployments, decommissions, and troubleshooting in high-density GPU environments. The position is based out of Mount Pleasant, WI, with an expected travel of up to 75%.
