Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- Certifications in BICSI, NEC, OSHA, A Plus, and cable plant infrastructure and testing
- ITIL v3 certification
- Expertise in data center operations and maintenance
- Proficiency in structured cabling and hardware troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Data Center HVAC and mechanical/electrical systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with contractors and technical staff
- Strong learning aptitude and ability to master new skills quickly
- Experience in creating detailed reports and managing multiple projects
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
Responsibilities
- Support enterprise-wide data center infrastructure across the hospital system
- Maintain operational oversight of data centers, MDF, and IDF structures
- Address and resolve technical support requests and production issues
- Ensure quality and consistency in new equipment deployments
- Decommission outdated equipment and relocate components as necessary
- Respond to critical infrastructure alerts 24/7
- Utilize DCIM tools for equipment location verification
- Engage in capacity planning and forecasting for infrastructure needs
- Participate in critical incident resolution and on-call support
- Foster continuous improvement within established operational procedures
- Communicate effectively with customers and manage requests through ticketing systems
