Requirements
Must:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in developing and delivering effective business intelligence and analytics solutions using relevant technologies.
- Proficient in using PowerCenter Informatica to create or modify ETL scripts (5+ years).
- Skilled in data visualization with Microsoft Power BI to construct or modify dashboards (5+ years).
- Experienced with Microsoft data platform tools, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric (5+ years).
- At least five (5) years of experience applying data modeling principles such as Kimball Dimensional Modelling.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with database technologies and scripting, including Oracle or SQL Server.
- At least two (2) years of experience mentoring other business intelligence and analytics developers.
- Knowledge of cloud data architecture (lakehouse, modern data warehouse).
- Experience with Azure security practices, including managed identities, RBAC, and data controls.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
- Up-to-date Azure AZ-104 and Microsoft DP-600 & 700 certifications.
- Experience in data virtualization using Denodo.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with SAP BusinessObjects for creating/managing data warehouse universes and reports.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify reporting requirements.
- Work alongside the City IT Governance team to validate architectural proposals for solutions.
- Review and make updates to data marts as necessary.
- Create ETL scripts for new data tables.
- Develop data pipelines within Informatica and Azure Data Factory.
- Construct reports and dashboards using City-approved technologies.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for ongoing maintenance.
- Provide training to internal support staff.
