Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Security; a masters degree or equivalent professional experience in information security is a plus - Active Secret clearance required - Minimum of 5 years in cloud security, with at least 2 years in Azure Government or DoD environments - In-depth knowledge of Azure-native security tools, IL6 data handling, and cloud networking practices - Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash; familiar with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) - Experience with compliance frameworks like DoD SRG, FedRAMP High, JSIG, and ICD 503 - Hands-on experience with classified environments, hardened images, and secure enclave connectivity - Comprehensive understanding of corporate Systems/Solutions Architecture processes and trends - Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills - Secret Clearance required at the outset - Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies - Required technical skills: SCAP, STIG, Patching, eMASS, and related RMF tools - Experience in Cybersecurity, Systems Administration, and RMF tool implementation - Background in obtaining ATO for systems and managing the assessment and authorization process - Knowledge of IP networking, protocols, and security technologies, including encryption and VPNs - Strong communication skills essential - Experience in Agile development environments and use of Jira - Knowledge of secure coding practices and Cybersecurity processes - 10 years of relevant experience preferred, with variances based on training or certifications - Capable of working independently and remotely - Certification: Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+, CISSP, CISM) - Minimal travel anticipated, as needed upon customer request

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures within Azure Government Secret classified environments - Enforce zero trust principles, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity federation - Configure and manage security controls, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, and Azure Policy - Automate compliance and security operations utilizing PowerShell, Terraform, or ARM templates - Integrate SIEM/SOAR tools for continuous monitoring and incident response - Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply remediations according to NIST 800-53, DoD STIGs, and JSIG - Collaborate with mission owners, compliance teams, and developers to ensure secure DevSecOps pipelines - Assist with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes by generating necessary documentation and supporting audits - Navigate federal systems through the authorization process for ATO - Work closely with ISSO, Program, and DOC ITD IA teams for security authorizations - Develop System Security Plans (SSPs) that detail all NIST 800-53 controls implemented - Coordinate security assessments with third-party evaluators - Manage Plans of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms) for addressing vulnerability findings - Ensure continuous monitoring plans comply with agency requirements - Prepare authorization packages for government assessment - Maintain ongoing compliance through change management processes - Serve as the link between technical teams and authorizing officials - Translate security requirements into actionable tasks - Ensure all documentation meets high standards required for federal information systems
