Requirements
Must:
- Technical training, certifications, or a degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
- Masters degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with a preference for over 10 years
- At least 5 years of experience in database and data management
- Advanced system administration skills in Linux and Windows environments
- Proficient in Azure Active Directory and Azure Monitor
- Strong knowledge in Azure networking including VNets, NSGs, routing, Azure Firewall, and load balancing
- Experienced with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and secure development within controlled cloud settings
- Advanced skills using Ansible or PowerShell scripting
- Hold relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), and Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (AZ-305) is a plus
- Extensive familiarity with Azure Cloud services and cloud-based database systems
- Experience utilizing MS Visio for diagram updates
- Background in Agile/Scrum environments and working within Federal or State government settings
- Ability to work independently and in a remote setting
- Active Secret clearance or higher is required and must be maintained as a condition of employment
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers within the Azure Government cloud
- Design, implement, and oversee Azure networking components such as virtual networks, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and load balancers
- Construct and manage Azure infrastructure employing DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps
- Ensure secure and dependable connectivity across Azure Commercial and Azure IL5/IL6 environments, including hybrid integrations
- Utilize automation tools including Ansible or PowerShell to streamline administrative tasks
- Monitor system performance metrics including CPU, memory, and disk usage via Azure Monitor
- Address alerts and perform root cause analyses for downtime or performance issues
- Maintain backups and recovery processes for critical systems
- Respond to vulnerabilities identified through system scans
