Requirements
Must:
- Experience with unpackaging and installing server racks and network hardware
- Knowledge of network equipment installation and maintenance
- Proficiency in cable management including dressing, terminating, and labeling cables
- Understanding of safety protocols and manufacturer certification requirements
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repair of network equipment
- Familiarity with installing ancillary equipment like patch panels and cabinets
- Ability to adhere to site specifications and documentation standards
- Capability to provide personal and team tools for installations
Responsibilities
- Uncrate, install, and position network racks at designated locations
- Install patch cables and ancillary equipment as needed
- Replace defective components and install optics into devices
- Conduct troubleshooting and repair tasks as outlined in project scope
- Participate in safety training sessions and on-site specific training
- Maintain accurate documentation according to site specifications
- Dress and terminate cables including copper and fiber optic varieties
- Ground racks and label them appropriately with tile locations
