Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of backend development experience or 3+ years in a lead developer role
- Profound knowledge of databases including Snowflake, data structures, and query languages
- Comprehensive understanding of algorithms, design patterns, and contemporary SDLC practices
- Proven ability in developing and scaling enterprise-level applications
- Experience utilizing GenAI, Copilot, or AI/ML tools for software development, automation, or reporting
- Strong business insight and previous experience in finance, investment banking, or related fields
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities
- Background in Financial Services or Banking
- Preferred: Full-stack development experience
- Preferred: Proficiency in Angular
- Preferred: Familiarity with Databricks
- Preferred: Aptitude for quickly mastering new technologies
- Preferred: Knowledge of Power BI, Apache Airflow, OLAP tools, and workflow automation
- Preferred: Experience with tool assessment, POC delivery, and leading greenfield projects
- Preferred: Experience with regulatory reporting (DFAST, CCAR, or similar)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of a scalable, enterprise-grade stress testing and forecasting platform, collaborating with Modelers and Strategists
- Design and build resilient software systems using Java, Scala, Front end, and other cutting-edge technologies, ensuring adherence to SDLC best practices, code quality, and performance standards
- Guide, inspire, and manage a high-performing engineering team
- Maintain and provide support for a custom legacy DFAST model throughout the platform upgrade
- Propel the integration of GenAI, Copilot, and AI-driven development methodologies to boost automation, reporting, and developer efficiency
- Advocate for agile practices, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure timely and dependable software delivery
- Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and interdisciplinary teams to outline requirements, assess tools, and deliver innovative solutions that meet business objectives

Our team specializes in providing cutting-edge solutions for regulatory and financial reporting, general ledger management, P&L calculations, and analytics, all while leveraging advanced data frameworks and innovative engineering practices. We are located in New York, NY, and offer a hybrid work environment. The compensation for this position ranges from $80.00 to $85.00 per hour, with a variety of benefits available, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan, among others.
